Students now research colleges on Instagram about as much as they do on your own website. In MeetYourClass's survey of roughly 3,500 students, the two came back nearly tied.

That changes what a social media manager is actually responsible for, and most teams are figuring it out with no analyst, no extra headcount, and a handful of student workers.
